Dear partners and supporters,
The churches in China are reaping a great harvest. One estimate puts the number of new believers rising at the rate of 10,000 per day. Many of them may have access to Bibles but the majority do not have access to good reference books. How can these young Christians grow and mature in their faith?

Langham Foundation has a solution through the China Library Grant scheme. We offer the mainland Chinese institution, Bible schools, churches a special library package with initially 25 to 30 books chosen from our Chinese Evangelical booklist. This is provided to the recipient institution as a start-up library which can be used by its members
and students. Since good evangelical books are rare in China, the aim is to encourage them to grow together by sharing scarce resources through a library system. Once the library is in place, the recipient institution can order more books as part of their expansion programme.
We would like to raise HK$1 million in the year 2007. This would enable us to provide adequately for 100 to 150 mainland Christian insitutions, Bible schools or churches.
